I would like to thank all of you for all of your support in these last months and am very happy to tell you that I have passed my CQC interview and have been accepted as the Registered Manager. Eve is now planning her retirement but will continue in a supervisory capacity. I will do my utmost to continue her good work to the high standards you are all used to. We had a successful Halloween Buffet on Sunday 30th October which was enjoyed by all the staff, residents, friends and families.
I will be starting the annual audit this week on service satisfaction and will be grateful for your feedback and any new ideas you have about improving Oban House Residential Care Home and our service.
The outside decorating is progressing for House 11 and should be finished in the next week or so… glad everyone likes our fresh new look! Thank you Ron for making this possible and Vas for all your hard work.
We now have regular visits from a dental hygienist and I hope everyone will take advantage of this. There are marked health benefits from keeping our oral health in tip top condition as well as the pleasure we get from eating and tasting our home cooked meals. John and I will be constructing our winter menu from your recommendations of your favourite dishes.
Can I take this opportunity of welcoming our new residents Hazel and Tony. Good to have you aboard!
Look out for our next newsletter as we are planning a Christmas carol service with the flute duo ‘Flutecakes’ and everyone is invited. Our choir will be practicing from November onwards. Please put the 18th December at 2.30pm in your diaries!
Thank you all personally for your continued support of Oban House.
