To Oban House Residents, their families and friends, our team of carers and Eve and Ron our ‘care-takers’ and owners,
I would like to thank all of you for the wonderful welcome you have given me. Thank you, Eve, for all your preparation for introducing me into the post of manager – it has made an enormous difference!
I come from a background of over 30 years working with elderly clients as a specialist Occupational Therapist. So wellbeing and enabling will be at the heart of our new Activities program. Please see notice board for this weeks activities. Each week will vary slightly to be able to include all of the residents’ interests, ideas and hobbies. Do let me know when you have further ideas that we can include…
We have a new ‘resident’ in our lounge… a piano! Kindly donated by Nina Mills, in memory of her father Mr Ernest Triggs. We will be getting it tuned for everyone to play and enjoy.
From Monday 25th April, our chef John, will be creating our Summer Menu. All based on our residents’ suggestions, favorites and with healthy eating in mind. Thank you John, for always bringing us the freshest local meats, vegetables and fruits – and the care you take preparing our lovely meals.
A huge Thank you to Sue, our carer and talented baker, who made the Queen’s Birthday celebration possible. Your cake was amazing! Everyone loved it.
A warm welcome to our new residents, Glenise, Connie and Peter.
Look out for our next newsletter as we are planning an Open Day in June to invite you to celebrate with us the Queen’s official birthday and thank you all personally for your continued support of Oban House.
Look forward to seeing you there….
